Sago Palm: the first thing that needs to be mentioned is that the Sago Palm is highly toxic to both humans and animals. Do NOT eat.

They are considered slow growers in the sense that a new set of leaves may only emerge once a year. That's why when I saw a specimen with a freshly emerged set of leaves (would these be called fronds?), I had to capture their development, which took about 2 weeks.

A new time lapse is coming soon: captured my outdoor Monstera deliciosa's latest leaf unfurling.

I will wait a few more days for the leaf to develop further. Based on the orientation of the previous leaves, I think this leaf should end up facing the camera. Very excited to see how this turns out!

This time lapse has been running for 11 days. From my previous experience, these Monstera leaf unfurls take about 2 weeks to complete.

Why didn't I just drill drainage holes?
Because this plant lives indoors during the colder months, I don't want water freely draining through onto my floors. With the tap, I can let the excess water out into a container when indoors (or just keep it open when outside)
