Since each new leaf is so big, the overall plant feels significantly larger even though it only got two new leaves this summer

When it's inside for the winter, I think I'll perform another air layer and take the top cutting (probably just the top 3 leaves as I did previously)

Perhaps the ongoing strategy to keep this a manageable size (for my house) is to take the top cutting every 3 years

Observations: 1) Haworthiopsis limifolia 'Variegat

Observations:
1) Haworthiopsis limifolia 'Variegata' - really loving the strong variegation. Seeing some new growth these days too!

2) Pachira aquatica (money tree) - rapidly putting up new leaves after the complete cut back.

3) Phalaenopsis (pink) - new flower spike!

4) Schlumbergera truncata (Thanksgiving cactus) - buds on the way!

5) Phalaenopsis (white) - I was planning to chop this spike after this round of blooms but new buds have already formed farther along the spike.

6) Spathipyllum - this flower is going to be huge!

This is the time of year where my night temperature hits below 10°C (50°F) so it's time for my houseplants to come indoors.

Here are a few who grew very well this summer:
-
Goalie mask fern - last year I cut off many fronds due to a scale infestation. I'm glad to report the infestation has been eliminated and lots of new growth occurred this summer, making the overall plant much fuller!

Tillandsia xerographica - while indoors last winter, I neglected to water the plant adequately so lots of older leaves were curled up and dried. I cut a lot of them off and, this summer, new growth filled in the center. I'm super happy with how the plant looks now

Ctenanthe burl-marxii - this plant has been consistently lush so it's no surprise that it would do very well outdoors

Schlumbergera x buckleyi - I'm hoping to trigger an early bloom with cold night temperatures so I'll actually be keeping this plant outside a few more days

Epipremnum aureum - this is the golden pothos propagated from my wedding centerpieces. Last year I had to cut a lot back due to thrips but this summer, with thrips eliminated, new growth came in blemish-free!

Monstera deliciosa - super happy with the two huge leaves that emerged this summer. I think I may take the top cutting again over the winter and change to a more sturdy garbage bin (this is the Roughneck bin but the Brute is stronger)

This summer has been amazing for my variegated African Violet!

Here's the light situation that resulted in this growth:

[2] For about 3 hours a day, the plant sees filtered sun that measures around 4000 FC thanks to the diffusion panel I have on the lower half of my window

[3] In the afternoon, when the sun has moved away...
[4 and 5] I've measured the indirect light to be in the 400-800 FC range. It varies each day because of cloud cover so measuring several times and fitting the data into common ranges is more useful than trying to get exact numbers.

For the Indoor Natural Light context, you need to specify (1) duration of direct (or filtered) sun (that is, when the sun has direct line of sight with the plant) and (2) average range of indirect light (that is, when the sun is not in the direct line of sight with the plant, how bright is the patch of sky that is visible to the plant).

Just saying "bright indirect light" or "in front of an East window" doesn't account for how big the window is, how close the plant is to the window, and what external obstructions may be present.
